Pet of the month for March is Muffin!
Muffin’s owner asked us to visit her at her home as she had gone off her food and was vocalising a lot to her owners. On examination, we found that Muffin had lost weight and was salivating quite a bit which suggested a dental problem. We found some mild gingivitis and a resorptive lesion on one tooth. Muffin was then provided with pain relief and booked in for a dental exam under anaesthesia, including full mouth x-rays using our new digital dental x-ray machine. The x-ray images allowed us to identify a further tooth root problem which was hidden under the gum line. After a couple of extractions, Muffin went home a much happier cat!
